Timeline from application to the line?

Assuming you have the hours needed and your CTP.
-2 weeks of Indoc in IND (weekends off)
-3 days off (1 travel day to STL)
-3 weeks of systems in STL (weekends off)
-Roughly 2 weeks of GFS/SIM in STL (Assuming no delays)
-Not sure how long the wait is for IOE these days
-About 2 weeks of IOE
-"Hi ___, this is ___ from Crew Scheduling. We've got some changes to your schedule, gives a call back, or notify on Crew Life"
In all seriousness I have been out of the training loop for awhile so this may be outdated information.

Do people generally travel back home for the weekends? I was thinking of either going back every two weeks or getting my wife over.
PS: I plan on studying as much as possible each day and I already feel very comfortable with profiles, limitations, general airplane systems etc.

Depends on how far away you live. I went home two weekends during Systems/sim, but I live a four hour drive away, so it wasn’t hard to ensure I’d make it back on time.
If you’d have to fly to get home and back, it significantly increases the risk of arriving late for class or a sim session.
