Yup, does not mean they are going to close. Delta flying is also coming back to ORD.

CMH is a shiesthole airport that for some reason BB has a hard on for.

You know I sat there watching those guys build out stations constantly year after year. I left a long time ago and even back then people said oh it’s going to become hub basing and here we are in 2018 and still the same. Republic is fine to go to just understand the basing structure and be willing to accept it.

Envoy is the only option I would be interested in, it usually takes a few months to get awarded DFW on the FO side and then they are forcing upgrades which will force me back out of DFW again. Kinda sounds like I would be in for a lot of commuting anyway, so I might as well commute to a company with more efficient scheduling and a stronger contract. I figured ORD wouldn't be too bad and theres always a slim chance of IAH one day once it all shakes out.

But I'm obviously still new to this, so all the advice is welcome!
I hate riding in the back. Commuting or deadheading on the 3 hour EWR-IAH United mainline in seat 35C is a pretty aggravating journey. The more I have to do it I try to avoid it as much as possible. That said there are commutes that are much better. I found using regional airlines for commuting to be less stressful as they generally don't fly those long haul routes, there's less people to board and deplane, and they operate with more open seats and less people on standby. But, a quick search on Flight Aware for DFW-ORD shows that all the flights are mainline, so buyer beware. Seeing 20+ people on standby is much more common than on the regionals, and unfortunately our priority when non-revving on mainline isn't the best.
