Uh... we didn’t approve a subpar contract just to get 175s years after other carriers have been flying them. Sorry, that’s ExpressJet. These aircraft have/had nothing to do with a CBA, unlike your debacle. Big difference, sister.

Well that's the million dollar question. All information is inevitably speculation at this point, but I do know at least 20 of the deliveries are slated to replace current airframes.

That, to me, sounds like the most plausible outcome. Especially since Mesa is in talks with AA to put 65 seats on their -900s:
