then it’s not a hiring bonus. It’s a prepaid longevity stipend. A bonus has no strings.

this “bonus” is also owed if:
displaced to FO (voluntary or involuntary)
disabled by loss of medical, if you can do other work, you still owe
resign, get fired
displaced from base, too bad, start commuting.
furloughed…. (Grey area)
displaced to FO and then furloughed, you owe.

Id think the way out is that it’s signed under duress. Don’t sign, no job. But you need an actual pilots left to due, not the union. The company will argue standing if it’s just the union. You need joint plaintiffs.

Looks like the hearing was cancelled 4/4. Was it transferred to federal courts? I think that's what the exhibits say but it wasn't an easy read so I could be wrong.

Appeal was also filed on 4/3 for the original case that was dismissed a month ago.

Here is the appeals court docket 0:2024cv01530 on Pacer. Looks like there will be a telephonic mediation on Friday, April 19th at 9:30 CDT.
