Funny the day that Known Crew Member opened in Detroit coinciding with Comair's shutdown they said it was an additional cost they wouldn't pay for.

My question is when did Known Crew Member emerge from the testing phase? Last I checked they were still "testing" the program. Now all of a sudden they are charging for it?

I don't get how it $40,000 a month just for one company? How many companies use this? Do the math!

All it require's is a moron with a netbook to check your ID? TSA has plenty of moron's on the payroll! And your average netbook is about $300!

I thought it was just us since we are shutting down! Getting tired of explaining to TSA in DTW why I can't use Known Crew Member! You would think they got the "memo" by now!

Apparently, having a "better" relationship isn't worth $3.00 a month per pilot, at least at this point. Officially, it's "under review", but that sounds closer to, "No thanks" than, "Yeah, probably."

We'll see, just like you guys, it's not exactly the most important issue we're all facing.

The point I am trying to make is they will gut everything out of this company to make $1 more for their pockets. You were not with us when they banned water bottles for crews. KCM means a lot to me as I am a commuter and I try to use it a lot during the overnights too.

I hate the fact that TSA spending billions on bull cr@p cannot make this program free for the airlines. Aren't we the ones that is supplying all these 9/11 fees and other fees that funds them?

Like another poster said it took 5 minutes to get a guy to use a pull down menu, because most of these people using the laptops are incompetent.

Lol. I think known crewmember is heavily sponsored by ALPA. I wonder if Republic has to pay more since the pilots are non-ALPA. My airline is getting a bar code to give the agents to reduce error input. I guess typing in 6 numbers and 2 letters is difficult for some.

yes our wonderful managment has decided to opt out of the program just to make our lifes that much better. anyone who thinks this is a good place to work should look at this action. they will do anything they can to make the employees lifes miserable.

That gives you more job security. If you have to many luxuries then the next airline that can operate cheaper will take your flying.

That is generally how junior bases work in lean hiring times, yeah.

LGA seems like it would be a good base if you plan to commute. I wouldn't know how commutable the lines are out of LGA for chautauqua...
