Fair enough, thanks for your clarification. But frankly, I believe the sequester being a source of cancellation due to controllers being reduced is about number 3,789 on a list of 4,000 things that could possibly lead to cancellation of a flight and thus lack of pay.

The likelihood of this making cancellation pay a bigger issue is pretty small since I think the true impact will be a non-issue.

However one thing we cant control is being undercut. Its even worst from a group that hides behind well they wont give us a new contract. At least the gojetz guys admit they are working a street corner.

We have the same lack of motivation at Eagle, but ours can at least be blamed on failed union leadership. We also have a fairly good contract, even after CH11, we dont just sit around pouting about it, yet reaping the benefits of it with new flying. Your either a saint or a sinner, you cant be both.

Also I never even applied to RAH, my friend worked there and told me not to apply. I went to Eagle for a long list of reasons, and I am happy I did.

You could also blame your pilot group. I've met quite a few of the Eagle furloughs that are at RAH now. They only applied because they weren't called back quickly because their ex pilot group picked up lots of overtime while they were on the street filling for unemployment and applying at RAH to try and feed their families. Whoever these selfish Eagle pilots where, who fattened up their paychecks while the junior guys on the list were homeless and struggling to find food really gave a bad name for the rest of the group who weren't picking up OT. Had these pilots been recalled sooner then RAH would of had staffing problems and wouldn't have been able to undercut you.

Do you guys really believe this? I mean seriously think this is going to happen? Who fills your head with this nonsense?

You clearly have no clue. It was awarded through arbitration.

Hey - I stand corrected. Had not seen / heard about the FAA change in approach this week on controller furloughs - supposedly starting Sunday implementing ground delay programs and / or other traffic management tools, that will delay more than 6700 daily flights.

This is politics at it's worst - making a statement and (maximizing?) impact on travelling public and industry employees instead of trying to minimize it. So again, I stand corrected if what is now being said by the FAA actually materializes.

JD832, thanks for posting both sides positions. Interesting read.

Yeah, real interesting. So the company cancels 50 flights due to weather and don't pay the flight crews, nor does their new proposal have cx pay included. Guess what, the company is still getting paid by mainline partners for all wx cancellations. Seem right to you?

That's just one of many. I'll let someone else take the next one.

I like the Q&A about Q400 pay. It says that nobody else who does CPA in the continent operates Q400s, then it mentioned that Horizon is different because they are owned by Alaska. Then it mentioned that the only person they could compare was the rates that Colgan but they went bankrupt. SO they can't compare the rates to Horizon??? RIght!!!

That is just the tip of the iceberg on how this company operates and handles it's crew members.
