Although the outcome of the mishap was desirable, the reporting is somewhat less than :)

Probably fueled it with 100LL rather than Jet-A.

Some Aztec-F's are turbocharged...and they originally said "Turbo" on the side. After multiple incidents involving Jet A and Aztec-F's the FAA issued an AD to paint over the "Turbo" marking. |

22-Year-Old Pilot Makes Emergency Landing on Downtown Street - ABC News Civil Air Patrol-owned Cessna 172 jet USMCFLYR F-86 Sabre Jet Engine General Electric J 47 on eBay but I'm not sure how I'd install it. Shouldn't be too difficult though, I think you just connect a few cables and fill the tank with new fuel. :eek: |
