I'm really getting tired of... Two planes spark F-15 scramble during Obama visit - Yahoo! News . I know the pilot of the 2nd aircraft. He's a 3,000hr dual given instructor, and thought he had all the times for the TFR figured out. However, what he didin't know is when he landed at his first destination airport about 100 miles away on his XC, he took a 2hr lunchbreak with his student pilot, and never got another briefing besides the original 4 hours ago. So, he broke the TFR, and called up VFR 10nm west of KDPA. Just sayin' ... please check with FSS for amendments to the TFR. Last time they got the F15's out on a non-scheduled flight was last summer when a lady in Barrington, IL took off without checking ANYTHING, not even the winds, started heading towards downtown Chicago, and the F15 pulled up next to her Taylorcraft... she thought they were being cool by waving "Hi" with their pointer finger pointing down... yeah... don't be an idiot either. <stepping off soap box> .

Does Obama really need to visit Chicago once a week? I understand homesickness, but this is just out of control.

Same with Biden's weekly visits to DE. (I get TFRs emailed to me).

I guess these jobs are commutable?

This happened to a high time instructor at my flight school in 2009 when Obama was visiting South Bend. The bad part was that he knew about the TFR and was the active supervisor of flying that morning and warned everyone else about the TFR. Later that afternoon when he had his first student he lost SA and drifted into the TFR and got intercepted. The best part was that he had the students parents in the back seat. LMAO! So with that said, new advice. Get a briefing AND don't be an idiot.
