Glad to see they made it out. Years back, a Beech 18 (?) crashed out of BJC. Turns out they had forgotten to close the (non-STC) crank case pressure relief valves before taking off. Left oil trails all the way to the runway and then ran out shortly after takeoff. Both perished.

This was a Shrike (Bob Hoover's ride) and is the piston version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7R7jZmliGc
It was because of the Shrike that I never trusted the Line Boys. I spent my early years flying checks at night in the AC690, the Turbo Commander, the bigger Turbine version of the Shrike. From a far distance, they looked the same, to an uneducated line boy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6D5tgKgNhvo
See the difference? No? Believe me, once it was running, you knew which was which! That ear splitting high pitched scream left no doubts!
That's why I never, ever, walked away from the airplane until I saw which fuel truck showed up. The other airplanes we met for the sort were Shrikes and Be18's, and one Lear.
More than a few times the 100LL truck would show up! Even after I told them on the way in, to send the JET A truck!
