Private Jet crashes into Indiana Neighborhood

2 dead, several injured after private plane crashes into Indiana homes | Fox News

"A private jet apparently experiencing mechanical trouble crashed Sunday in a northern Indiana neighborhood, hitting three homes and killing two people aboard the plane, authorities said."

"The plane was registered to 7700 Enterprises of Montana LLC in Helena, Mont."

This article about a Premier I crash is tragic but am I missing something here?

Pretty amazing that it didn't burn. I wonder if he got the engines shut down before he hit.

N26DK crash

I was waiting to taxi when SBN tower told us they were working an emergency. Unfortunately, I saw the whole thing. They attempted to land, looked like they were going to land about 3/4 of the way down the runway and went around. Started a slight right turn, nose pitched up,steep turn to the right, very nose high then rolled on its back. Spun twice inverted rolled back over and hit the ground. I didn't see any smoke. CFR at SBN took off immediately.
What a horrible sight to see. God bless them and their families. Amazed that there were survivors.

I believe this airplane was based out of KRVS in Tulsa. Did my flight training there and saw this plane quite a bit. Even met two of the pilots who fly it. I heard one got a job elsewhere. Don't know about the other guy. Hoping for the best.

RIP and condolences to the families.

Just realized I saw this jet last week when I was at RVS parked in front of the FBO. I commented to the other pilot that I liked the paintjob. Freaky.

anybody got a liveatc.net link to the ATC audio, if any available ?

Usually, airplane accidents don't have fires when there isn't any fuel in the plane.

Just sayin'

Engine failure on go-around? Rare, but it can and does happen. High pitch attitude may be key.
