Incidents such as this one is the reason the FAA has increased the scrutiny of airmen medical applications. So much for your peers.

Holy frack! 0.27?

captain152 06-06-2013 07:45 AM

.27?!?! Did he down a 750 before he left?! Good lord!!!

savall 06-06-2013 04:29 PM

Sweeeeeet jesus. He must be some kind of a functioning alcoholic though... He did manage to land the thing twice and not kill anyone ! I'm wondering if he is French.

Flying drunk is obviously stupid and prohibited. However, without defending this or any other pilot, we need to remember that in this day and age, law enforcement is, well, nothing like Andy Griffith anymore. Revenue enhancement and lack of accountability are a growing problem for everyone.

Good. I hope he gets his half a million dollars. That is ridiculous.

Holy crap! Glad his flying days are over. Have seen a few who were let go by companies because of drinking problems only to find employment somewhere else. Always a tragedy waiting to happen.

Another reason single pilot airliners are probably not going to happen.

Yep... I got pulled over this last week going 67 in a 55.

The cop wrote me a ticket for 70.. just enough to push me up into the next fine bracket. And what can I do about it? Very little.

And as far as .27 after 8 hours of flying.... I'm not even mad, in fact.. I'm impressed!
