United Diverts for Captain for "heart issue"
I haven't heard a peep about this until I stumbled on to this today. Happened December 31st. If this is up somewhere else on the forums, mods please move as necessary.
Interesting that Gregory Feith mentions the revisiting of the age 65 rule. The captain's age is 61. Makes me think all the dooms day people saying we will see age 67/70 are W-R-O-N-G.
How many over age 60 guys have had an inflight issue since the rule was change? Seems like I've heard of several. Maybe no one really has a solid answer, but maybe someone at the FAA or NTSB is tabulating that data.

Nice job to the FO, I hope the CA recovers.
Side note, interesting comment by KF on the possibility of revisiting the retirement age. If this does go into play, if you thought there is a shortage now…just wait until then!
