Quote: I don't think that was spud. I think the FOM change came from the guy that go fired from Gojet and then sued and got his back pay but told to go somewhere else.
It was both of them. SS was a ComAir Pilot.

Quote: Hi, I am currently reading about the different regionals and the one that really caught my eye was Republic, but since republic seems to be pretty full at the moment, how does ExpressJet compare to Republic or to other regionals? What Would be the Pros and Cons of ExpressJet? Why ExpressJet? PSA vs. ExpressJet?
Look at who has a base that you can afford and tolerate living in, then look at bonuses and pay, and finally look at flow/CPP deals. There are no real guarantees and being that the legacy carriers use one regional to beat the other, trying to pick the one that will be the best for the next 5-10 years is a fool’s errand. For the most part life at the various regionals is the same, just like life at the legacies is, they all have good and bad. Get your name on a list, fly as hard as you can, enhance your resume, and pray that you can move on to better things in 5-10 years.

You are correct, it was Comair. I am way too lazy to go to the airport on an earlier van just to write up a/c before the CA got there. I never could figure out what was so great about writing up planes.

I think they finally changed that back to just "pilot" now.

They did.... shortly after both of them had left. Coincidence.... 😳

ExpressJet = 5+ year upgrades still...

Every other regional: Big bonuses, quick upgrades, flow programs. Only an uninformed pilot would go to ExpressJet. What do they have to offer??? Oh yeah, a tiny fleet of E175s, and a large fleet of old 145s getting phased out.
I mean if that’s how you have to justify where you ended up that’s good for you.

It seems that everyone here has a more mature and “here for the right reasons” mentorship based mentality. It looks like you made the right decision on going elsewhere.

It wasn’t really a choice, per se.
