Cool Pros and Cons?

Hi, I am currently reading about the different regionals and the one that really caught my eye was Republic, but since republic seems to be pretty full at the moment, how does ExpressJet compare to Republic or to other regionals? What Would be the Pros and Cons of ExpressJet? Why ExpressJet? PSA vs. ExpressJet?

1.)Class date availability is the number one thing separating ExpressJet from the others in the current market. If you can “afford” to wait months for a class date (and are willing to put up with significant training delays during class) then continue to look at the others. That was not a option in my book.
2.) seniority is everything! All the other regionals are towards the “bottom” of their hiring curve. ExpressJet seems to be one of the last regionals to be at the start of their curve. 600 pilots this year with rumors of a similar goal next. Upgrade time dropping fast! if that really matters to you. I personally could care less.
3.) Best training you will find.
4,5,6) commuter policy, base selection, health benefits.

At the end of the day you need to make your own decision. Don’t just go where your buddy is so you can split the bonus. Write down what’s important to you, compile everyone’s input, and make a decision on your personal criteria. You would be surprised how many people are switching companies right now because they didn’t do the proper research.

Good luck

PM if you have questions

LMAO, jeezus dude.... spoken like a true recruiter...

ExpressJet = 5+ year upgrades still...

Every other regional: Big bonuses, quick upgrades, flow programs. Only an uninformed pilot would go to ExpressJet. What do they have to offer??? Oh yeah, a tiny fleet of E175s, and a large fleet of old 145s getting phased out.

No, he was a pilot who was fired from Xjet. He was well known to any pilot in ORD/MCI.

Is he the crazy cat guy who demanded a crew divert while deadheading, because he saw a little fuel coming out of the fuel vent?

Amongst other things. He (along with SS) were the reason for the FOM change that didn’t allow FO’s to write MX issues up.

I don't think that was spud. I think the FOM change came from the guy that go fired from Gojet and then sued and got his back pay but told to go somewhere else.
