I think I get it reading just the Newsweek article

It says the union will be asking for a
-A workplace free of management intimidation and favoritism.
-Full benefits and seniority for all Delta ramp, cargo, and tower employees; including Ready Reserves.
-No more second class citizens.
-A defined-benefit pension plan that provides a secure retirement.
-Affordable pre-Medicare retiree medical insurance.

Old people stuff with your $700. So they're aiming at the young guys.

Well worth $700/year in dues. Hopefully the young guys understand that.

Quote: We have the same dental plan option that you have. The only thing we have different than the FA’s, in the area of medical/dental , is a pilot medical option.
We don’t...our DPMP dental covers 50% of orthodontics up to $3,000. My wife only had to pay $1700 for a full treatment of Invisalign.

Also, DPMP has same deductibles in or out of network. HSA options are the same for everybody.

Quote: DAL continuously sweetens the pot when an FA union drive takes place. I look around the industry at other heavily unionized airlines and I see strife and conflict, poor customer service, and much lower profits. I for one, hope that we remain the only unionized workforce at DL.

SWA is the most unionized airline and is one of the best for culture, customer satisfaction and benefits. It has more to do with culture and corporate environment than unions.

FH would like us to believe that unions destroy companies, when its actually their tactics that do the damage. And the BoD knows this when they retain them.

Sorry, I gave my spare change to the last captain I flew with. He needs a new stereo for his boat.

Southwest is one of the most heavily unionized workforces in the industry.

This guy has Management Pilot written all over him. As long as Team Marcal is taken care of, it’s all good.

Funny how in our crew rooms it is all a bunch of posters up about health and wellness and fitness, but when it comes to keeping a union out, “sure go play video games instead.”

Yikes, they want a defined benefit?

Distasteful poster for sure. Good luck to our FAs, Rampers, MX, and other work groups.
