Obviously the solution would have been to charter them with needy flight instructors in single engine aircraft for that ever-precious cross-country time towards ATP minimums! See, you can solve two problems at once.

Then it seems as if a proper channel was in place to avoid a situation like this, and either the CSA didn't utilize it or the "higher up" didn't approve it. Whichever of those two dropped the ball needs to be at least reprimanded.

Saw ABC news interview with Oscar Munoz this morning. I've been critical of Munoz since he took over as CEO of United and as an employee I'll say he said the right things. Admited fault, outraged at the treatment of the passenger and admited the passenger did nothing wrong. Promised he would fix the culture that caused this event to happen.

Good job Oscar - let's get back to the 'The Friendly Skies' culture that caused people to want to fly United and an airline were employees were proud to work. You promised those things the first day you took over the reins but somehow got side-tracked.

The biker replies "I'm a U.S. Marine, a Republican and I voted for Trump".

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

** U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT & STEALS HIS LUNCH. **

And THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days.

That's funny stuff right there...funny because it's true (in a sad, pathetic way). It would be the same if the Marine was a Dem. The spin would simply go in the opposite direction.
