This is not Neeleman's first airline, it's his third. All successful. The rapid growth makes me nervous but I'd bet on him that he knows how to run an airline better than anyone on this board.
Uhhhh, if they were all successful, did you ever wonder why it's his THIRD airline? (Plz see my earlier comments about how these guys make money whether the airline stays in business or not.)

Trust me when I tell you it's just business, if someone came along and offered the right price.......gone in a heartbeat! As sentimental as you may think he is.....he's there to make share holders some money. And he's a share holder. Then there's the BOD he answers to. But you'll cover that in later courses I'm sure. As far as his ability.......he's the best!! Just ask him.

i can tell what a "complex" character you are by your barely literate posts. i think you need some time away from your "complex" management classes and a little more time spent with a basic english comp text, a dictionary, and, for those special flourishes to give your writing some much-needed zing, a thesaurus.

although you could probably impress l. ron neeleman with your "he's only in it for the welfare of the employees" tripe. of course, he'd kick you to the curb for 5 bucks so maybe that isn't such great advice for you.

oh well--life is so difficult sometimes; unless, of course, you have all the answers and you're rapidly gaining on your 17th birthday.

Two choices that I can think of to see whether J/B will be in business 5 to 10 years from now are:

1. Ask a soothsayer who has a tempered, scratch resistant, crystal ball; or

2. Make a reservation for the future, and check your e-mail a day or two before you fly. If no e-mail, then phone them. If you get the message "This number has been disconnected, no fowarding number is available." you can bet they are out of business.

Yes your right it is a business and yes it would be practical for a person to sell when the right price came along and I am by no means writing my opinions of Neelman in stone I am merely trying to gain input on the subject so that I can find out what is true and what is untrue I figured that asking someone in the field of flying to gain their perspective would ultimately allow me to form a better stronger opinion.

also kill bill while you may be an expert in every area of life I am not and I will admit it. Perfection is not something I espier to become because lets face it nobody likes a know it all and as for the personal attacks towards me I ask you to prove me wrong with your dungeon and dragons self and bring up some facts that support your argument. While my literacy may need some improvement your content is atrocious you sound like a disgruntled employee with a personal vendetta against JB. prove me wrong

Then I would suggest some research on another venue other than a public forum. Google, Yahoo etc. as well as some trade and financial journals will give you some FACTS.....which are sorely absent on this forum. 10k's, EDGAR's which I believe are still free on the SEC's website. Usually......I say usually...these are real numbers that a budding CPA can use to arrive at an opinion. Typically on these type forums, when you counter a point with fact, is when the name calling starts.

good point I guess I did bank on a topic that has a little less to do with aviation and more to do with management which in this forum mgt. is posed as being the enemy with management aside let me ask you this if as everyone says JB is going to go out of business where did things start to go wrong and if you were the CEO how would you fix it. I am not really interested in the numbers just why everyone does not like Neelman did he do something wrong or are my opinions of him being a good CEO inaccurate
