You're right, when it comes to
unit selection. The people at the unit get to meet you in person and see if they like you.. the people on the board don't. That's why I assume the board is going off strictly on the package and the numbers. Also, that's just what I've heard. I'm sure there are some in there who know important people so their scores won't really matter but how about the rest of us who don't know anyone? There has got to be many like me - when I went to Brooks only a few of the other candidates were legacies. Why are they turning down numerous unit sponsored guys now? (and I don't even know how numerous 'numerous' is, but it was significant enough of a change from the previous boards that people noticed.)
