Don't you have to quit if FDX hires you?

2 things. FX guys may not block as much as pax guys but if you're out on a trip does it really matter if you're flying or sitting in a hotel? Being away from home is being away from home.

Second, I ferried a plane last night and being able to get up to pee/stretch my legs whenever I wanted on a 4 hour flight was amazing. I think I got up 10 times. It. Was. Awesome.

Certainly, but that is not what the question was. Should I quit a similar job to the one I am applying for because it is not for me? Sure, but what type of message does that send to your prospective employer.

Just my opinion.

Quote: On a similar note, would it look bad to the interviewers to leave a Legacy job (resign in good standing) a month prior to the interview?

The what-if of losing seniority aside (let's say a person decides that PAX flying just isn't for them), would it negatively affect a person's chances?
Ahh, if this is really a remote possibility of your hirability why don't you just stick it out for one more month?

Are FedEx and Legacies really that similar? It's an interesting point though, that a company would turn away a qualified applicant because they quit another job before the interview to specifically target that company.

I'm not going anywhere at the moment. Was just having this discussion with a friend of mine about whether current employment is a prerequisite for future, despite Cargo vs Pax.

What is the plan if the interview doesn't go as planned?

In between block in and block out they are different. Between block out and block in, exactly the same. I could be wrong, it could show great commitment, but to me it would raise a couple of flags. Sort of like wearing orange socks.

Whether it would be bad or not I sure wouldn't do it. Nothing is a sure thing. What if that person quit and then didn't get the other job?
