Quote: Has anybody with late class dates had any luck getting waitlisted and moved to an earlier class? Mine is a few months away and wondering what I can do to get it moved up.
I interviewed/got the offer on Aug 30th, and was given a January class. on the 11th, I got an email asking if I would take the December class, which I accepted.

I can't take any earlier unfortunately, due to an existing obligation to attend a class for the military. But with how fast the one month bump happened, I can see it happening.

Anyone wanna give me the quick and dirty on the 48 hour period? Contract says move 6 days, 8 if we have automated scheduling (lol). So does that mean I can swap one four day for another four day, and that's basically it unless I have a two day on my line? Was hoping to swap out my low credit four days for higher credit ones in the same footprint (no workdays moved).

You've got the concept.. call crew planning they are best to help but yes.. only 6 days..

After the 48, you can swap whatever you want from the open time. Email scheduling saying swap this 4 day for that one etc., as long as it's one for one they usually oblige.

With how the schedules are at PDT, how hard is it to get 5-7 days off in a row? Is that even possible without using vacation time?

If you're super senior (top 10%) once a month is normal. The rest of us can only rely on 4 days off by getting a build-up or reserve for golden days or using bidding tricks to drop trips in the interface period between bids.

It's simple. Bid build-up and then move your reserve days around to get a bigger chunk of time off. I've got the last 8 days of the month off this month. Did 6 in a row last month, etc. No use of vacation, making above min guarantee.

How does one go about picking up open time? Do they prefer you call or email? Is there a certain time limit and how often do the available trips gets published?
