You will make $4000 a month up there working 15on/15off and will easily get 1000 hours in less than a year with all the XC time you want. My record was 115 hours in 16 days. Plus it looks fantastic on a resume. Grant hires at 500 hours. I went to Alaska with 510 hours and loved it. They pay for your transportation and housing so all you do is work and collect the check.
Plus if you hate sitting around not getting paid. Up there you will get a daily guarantee usually at least $200/day so you get paid to hang with the guys at the pilot house and watch tv. Not everyone can cut it but definitely worth looking into.
What kind of flying work were you doing there to make 4 grand a month? I’m from Alaska, but currently live in California (my wife is in the military stationed here) I have a little over 300 hours (new commercial pilot) I know there are a ton of jobs there. Would they look at me, with my low hours?

It's not if "they" can use you with your low time. It's that the FAA Regs say 500 Hrs, plus the additional qualifiers that go along with that to legally qualify you to command an aircraft in 135 VFR conditions. 500 is the magic number for the Feds, though many operators want twice that, operations dependent. It's rough being in your experience level, though everyone gets through it.
