Quote: How about voting ALPA off the property? I know, we've done it once before. But let's see: two failed contracts, two screwed-up FDA contracts (which had to modified by multiple side letters), and now unilaterally selling out our A plan (outside of section 6, moreover) is evidence of ALPA's incompetence or gross negligence in representing all but the most senior FedEx pilots.
ALPA doesn't elect our reps, we do. And they elect our MEC.

We voted for the LOA's and the contracts. To me, it looks like we need to take accountability and hold our reps accountable if they don't do the job we expect.

Yeah, good idea. Just imagine the contract we could negotiate with no union. Who needs those work rules anyways?

That didn't work out very well the last time we tried it? Maybe this will help you relax?

Yes, changing the name would solve everything.

Like this idea, but don’t know how much one loses by losing the economies of scale with a larger union like ALPA or IBT

I bet ALPA’s lawyers and resources would jump ship to An All Cargo Carriers Union.. Fedex, UPS and all the ACMI carriers pilot groups would bring in lots of $$$
