Not a bomb, just a pod. It's unpressurized and usually holds electronic equipment (intelligence gathering type). The airplane is the U-2S. The picture was taken about 3 years ago on a test mission. I was in a turn over the top of Monterey looking south. The point of land that is furthest to the west in Vandenburg AFB.

Lord have mercy - those are flippin awesome.... if you got anymore keep them coming... Does it cross your mind frequently that you have been where less than .000000000001% of the human population has ever been!?!?! How does that feel!?!?!?!

Also on your avatar pic - is that the panel of the U2 reflecting in your viser? It looks like a glass cockpit? I didn't know they had those on the U2.
