I'm sure there are more then two of us that flew high altitude in pressure suits and have stories to tell / pictures to post. . I have dozens of photographs - both historical and present day. Should we start a new thread "High Altitude Reconniassance" ?

I was talking to a Tomcat pilot yesterday and he said back in the day they would do these tests on the airplane on occasion and he said they would take them up extremely high - I think he said it was either the B or D model that he said would go up to 60,000 - 65,000 feet... and he said they would fly these big hyperbolic arcs up and back down....

One thing he mentioned was when you get up that high, you can see a full set of stars in broad daylight!?!?!?!? How well can you see them??????? I will never experience it my self so please describe for me - or if you have pics post em...
