We had the PPO which for an employee + family was $285/pay check give or take. So $590/mo. And that is the 25%. So the total cost to AWA is $2360.00. You can go out of network for less $. I forget the percentages but it was something like 80-90% coverage in network and 70% out of network.
The “HMO” is actually an EPO which still lets you got to a specialist without a referral and things of that nature. I’ve had an HMO before and it was nothing like this one. Even doctors offices are surprised at how good this one is when they call for my benefits. It’s fantastic. Our PPO is more in line with what you would find elsewhere I think. Still solid but not the Cadillac version.
