True many departments have similar upheavals, but everyone, especially in these times, lands on their feet. It's a lot easier to move on in corporates than if you lose your seniority at a defunct airline. Ask the Comair guys.

A friend just lost his gig at a Jet managed plane (there's lots of pathologies I won't go into), but he's making far more cash contracting.

Most flight departments have to benchmark their costs against Net Jets. Net Jets has been making a push lately to get corporate clients to switch to them by offering known crew programs where they will have the same group of pilots flying them all the time.

Any Fortune 100 company that farms out its corporate aircraft is either stupid or rooting out a heavily entrenched Director or VP.

Every time I've seen this happen, the travel costs for the company increased drastically.

NJ has a supreme sales department with a way of showing short term savings and covering long term loss.

It'll likely cycle through in 5 years.

It's too bad for the GE pilots. They'll likely be able to get a job quickly, but at the cost of uprooting their families.

Did they keep the Hondajet based out of LUK? They even made a video about how successful the operation was for GE:

Rumor has it they sold a Global for $5 million. If true, that’s amazing. They do have a Global at MidCoast being completed, presumably to be sold.

Oopie. Perhaps part of the reason for the loss of the program?
