Nope. Not at all my thing. Never looked at any of them. Just may be able to give some unbiased info from the positives and negatives to help make the best choice for him. Hopefully, he can find the spot that best benefits his career.

Yes, PHL.
I already do the drive to JFK, and while 2.5 hours isn’t terrible as far as time... it’s just incredibly stressful due to the varying lengths of time due to horrendous traffic and numerous accidents I see ALL THE TIME. That’s what concerns me. The drive regularly eclipses three hours on Thursday and Friday. Not to mention it’s $60 round trip in gas and tolls. And also, very little growth at JetBlue, like close to net zero with a very junior pilot group.
JB definitely seems to have a better overall contract, no doubt, and a fairly well established airline, but they need to do something... there is seemingly little to no direction from leadership.
I didn’t have Frontier on my radar until I heard PHL opened. And with it being so junior versus reserve in JFK, seems worth considering.
Why not take the train?

It takes longer and is more expensive...

I haven’t heard anything about a captain being fired; what’s this all about???

Don’t know which. My CA told me. Also said that some guy who used to be an Atlas guy, came over here and was a good FO, then upgraded and turned into a tyrant CA. This guy is being let go. Section 13. His FOs walked off the airplane more then once. I guess my CA knows somebody well in the training department.

Blue guy here sticking my nose where it doesn't belong

I'd chose F9 over B6 because of living in base. That makes it a completely different job. 2.5hr drive to JFK is horrible, and if you did come to B6 you should consider bidding BOS and commuting (I've flown with several PHL guys who chose to commute BOS vs drive to JFK).

I know this is probably a dumb question as well, but are you trying to get on at AA?

Yeah, my plan would be reserve in JFK until I could hold a line in BOS and then commute, until I could hold a decent 320/220 line in JFK.

App is in at AA and UA (EWR is only 1:15).

How are F9 hotels? Locations?

How quick to get Chicago out of training? Are all the bases pretty stable and expected to be around for a while?

How short do you see upgrades becoming if the growth and deliveries actually happen?
