How much newly hired FO makes?

Hello everyone!
First I would like to thank everyone who took their time and read and reply to my questions. For me everything is new so I apologize if I made any mistake?

1) How much newly hired Horizon FO makes as reserve & as a line Holder per month?

2) how their pay calculator works? When they offer 75 hours monthly guarantee means 75x $40 = paycheck everyone month or any other pay like Block hours + Duty hours + Per Diem (how it works Per Diem / hr)

How their signing bonus works ?

Thanks for asking this question, I have been wondering the same. It would be nice if 1 year FO could give us a estimate on how much was made in within year 1. I am trying to budget for my first year at Horizon.

I made in the range of 2100-3000 take home a month including per diem. Note that take home was without medical benefits and min contribution to retirement. The reserve schedule you will be closer to the 2100 figure if you don’t fly much, once a line holder you’ll be closer to the 3000. If you don’t like having a life outside of work you can pick up trips on your days off, sometimes for premium and make more cash. I grossed 45k without the bonus(55k with it) and took home around 33k outside of perdiem

Their “pay calculator” is enough to confuse an accountant. They have a really confusing breakdown on your paycheck and not the greatest answers when you have questions about pay. Example, I noticed my pay was 200 dollars less on month. That was because instead of paying me 37.5 hours for that period, they paid me 32.5 for not crediting as much the earlier the previous month... At least that is the explanation I was given. So trying to figure out exactly how the pay works does take some time, to be honest I’ve been here a year and half and am still figuring it out. I don’t have many issues at Horizon and genuinely enjoy working here, just giving you honest numbers for year one

This varies so much based on withholding and your after tax deduction elections. The data are so anecdotal it is meaningless.

I understand the desire to budget, but you're not going to know until you know.

Do understand that there will be certain pre-tax deductions to your gross figures. Subtract 401k (up to 6% of gross), HSA contributions, and before tax medical premiums ($5-202), just to name a few.

Then there are after-tax deductions: Long term disability, ~4.5%, Union dues (~1.56%), Union assessment, and all of your benefit voluntary deductions.

There is also a uniform deduction, last time I checked it was $25 per check.

Hey guys I completely understand wanting to be able to budget and know about how much you’ll make. I’ve been at QX for 9 months now as an FO, obviously these figures will vary with your withholdings and other variables already mentioned above but here is my personal experience with take home pay.
During Training (start of ground school till passing IOE) - $2000-$2100 per month.
Sitting on Reserve (first few months after OE) - not much more I think took home about $2400.
Actually flying the Line - now up to about $3200 per month take home but that’s also picking up additional trips and crediting 85 hours or so a month. This will directly depend on how much you want to work.
Hope this helps you plan and have a general idea of what the first little while will look like.
Best of luck!

Been hovering right about $500 a month in per diem.

Thanks so much guys for your help, this gives me a pretty good estimate on how much to budget for. I am leaving a better paying job to budget for the cost of a few years at Horizon till I make about the same as I do know presently.
