I think civilian stats are all over the place. In my class of almost 40, 7-8 had some sort of military background. 3-4 pure corporate types and the remainder were majority CPP invites with a few non CPP Express carrier invites (think the non CPP folks were interns) One super young ERJ 170 F/O who was an intern. All of the regional guys were captains except one, only a couple check airman. Don't think any of them were from Envoy.

That would mean more than half class were cpp? Wow

Lots of CPP agreements now- recently flown with new hires from Commutair, XJT, and Air Wisconsin.

If that continues I guess one can effectively take UA and AA both of the list at this point... (if not at a CPP/WO). Awesome.

The whole point of these programs is to encourage folks to go to the feeders to staff associated RJ flying. It makes sense that the non military portion of NH classes have a significant presence of program graduates in order to encourage prospective applicants to enter the pathway programs.

I know the point. I know what a B scale is and how that’s what the regionals are. It’s discouraging for those of us who have been doing this for near 20 years at a non-CPP, and now are chances are diminishing monthly.

The only constant in this industry is change. And no, it isn’t fair. This industry can be a real head scratcher and a real let down at times.

The cpp really only screws the guys who were go getters at the cpp regionals. The chance for an xjt or c5 guy to get called off the street is near zero but the cpp forces them to get called in seniority order. They are now behind all those guys who weren't lifers but weren't actively playing the game to get out. Each newhire class was always ballpark 25% from xjt, 5% c5, 10% skywest etc for a long time. Off the street is about the same odds as its always been. It is very easy to get discouraged along the way but dont give up now. Hiring has been screaming through the pile. Keep the app on point.
