The only question you should be asking yourself is... "WHY AM I STILL HERE?"
After reading that last PM from you, you definitely don't know what you don't know.

I used to be one of those reasonably positive BlueJet posters on APC... Then experience and history happened.

Ahhh you don’t need to as part of the announcement there is a new Europe uniform with hats

You may have to wait for a year to get it and obviously they will take it out of your uniform bank. And if you do get it, it won’t fit. But like our suiting jacket it must be worn when going over to Europe so they might have a staffing problem given our uniform issues.

He’s still new I think...like a year or less here. I think everyone is juicy when new. I was too. Best job I’d had thus far and most people were happy. A negotiation cycle and labor dispute later..not so juicy anymore. Even Juicy Joe isn’t so juicy anymore, which I never thought was possible.

Juiceless joe.

This happens with all things, as time goes on you are like ehhhh. But poor management and other issues can speed it up. (So we learned)

I still like my company. I still like the people I work with. I think most people actually want jetblue to be successful. I’m just annoyed about the lack of vision and the waste of potential.

But I certainly wouldn’t tell people not to apply here. It is true there are some people who will just not be happy we all know who they are. The problem is the constant B.....ching by some is ignored as easily as the constant cheerleading. Try and call it what it is.
We all have our own path in life but for some reason pilots think you must do it their way and they will tell you how, while they sit there and do the opposite.

My favorite are the crew on BP with all the answers but I guarantee you won’t see them in an Mec/Lec/Nc position. It’s easier to play the theoretical game from the cheap seats.

I just wish we had more leadership from the company and the union.
Honestly I kind of got annoyed about the idea of not engaging management that the union (boston)just put out. How we should go through them. Well let’s take the stupid jacket. How did the union do on that? Oh that’s right they dropped the grievance. I get it don’t engage well if you want that show me you are fighting for stuff that needs to be fixed not just the schedules right now. There are plenty of committees that can fight. Again this goes back to PS it can be changed but it won’t happen just from the union. You saw how it -could- happen from educational respectful posts on HJB but the union does not want us to engage and I think that’s a mistake. We aren’t engaging management we are engaging the other work groups who can also push for a change.

Anyway long rant sorry.

There's a lot in life I have yet to learn. I will never know it all. I may be newer to JB than you and perhaps most posters here (which are but a tiny fraction of our pilot group), but I am not new to life.

Yes, I like my job at JB overall. When things happen that I DON'T like, rather than moan about it all day/week, I try to remind myself of the positives. I have no plan to leave, so I can either seek a way to find enjoyment with my employment, or face a miserable future. I choose the former, and think all of us would better served in doing so.

Doesn't mean we have to bend over (in EITHER direction) for the company. If you find that the gears need to be shifted, by all means, do so, even if it takes a little grinding to get them where you want them.

Out CBA leaves us plenty room for improvement;it's just the beginning. I didn't vote yes, but I also don't hold it against those who did. They did not "ruin it for the rest of us", as I have seen people post here.

The millenial interns that seem to have no clue how to schedule thing on a sunny day, and seem to run and hide when a raindrop falls? I'm sure I could do better than them, but maybe I couldn't... I've never tried. But having some pilots in that section could not hurt the operation one bit. Are you willing to work that job two weeks out of every few months to lend your guidance and expertise?

If you were positive before, I am sure you can be again. And if you are successful, getting back to that will add years to your life. I wish only the best for you and your family, because it means I am probably getting the same.

Do not apologize for your post. It's spot-on and the way I think we should all approach our views of the company in going forward.

I like the way you think, and believe we can all work together to make this company company a better place to be. It just takes a little more effort than putting on a suit and moving people around the system. The less desirable jobs than flying... that's where we need to have some strong pilots, making changes.
