Day Off Restoration

Well, looks like I screwed myself with this one. Moral of the story: Unless you REALLY want the day off restored, don't ask for it. You will more than likely lose money, since whatever pay credit you were gonna get on that day will be lost. And the 5 hours Add Pay in lieu of the day off is at the discretion of the scheduler. He made that abundantly clear to me on the phone. So basically if you need a day off, find another way of getting it!

Do tell. Restoration is normally a no brainer.

I believe you are pay protected on the restored day however you will lose all monthly overs up to the value of the removed days credit.

This is something most don’t understand. You get to ask but don’t get a choice. It’s in the contract and at their discretion. Most of the time they will restore the day then give you AV days the first day after. Had it happen a half dozen times.

He will lose overs if MPG or PTC exceeds his LPV. Usually the case in these situations. I lost 9 hours in February.
