There we were landing at DAL and I'd like to offer Southwest a thank you for once again helping to keep Delta operationally on schedule. I mean after all, who would ever plan to land a few minutes early, only to sit 25 minutes on the taxiway....ONCE AGAIN, waiting for Southwest to get off gate 15. Their amazing, yet slightly annoying, prowess at keeping us on time EVERYDAY is very much appreciated.

I know if another airline was waiting for my gate, I surely wouldn't be in a rush to push for their on-time.

Oh the irony.

You know, those AS gates sit unoccupied an awful lot. Perhaps DL would be better served to share with them? [emoji3]

If it makes you feel any better, we have to wait that long for our own gates at DAL too. It isn’t personal. Well maybe a little bit.

I would also like to thank southwest for the overhead panel on the 737

I’m far more insulted by the closing of Potbelly in MDW. Seriously?!?

If waiting for a gate bothers you don’t fly into JFK this summer in the afternoon.

1. Avoid all landings including DH into MDW.

I’ve got to laugh at your kind as I see it in SWA cockpits, too. Not sure why you go to work but I go to work to make $$$ and last I checked we get paid by the minute.

As was mentioned above, it’s not personal as we have to wait on gates as well. Sit back, crack a cold one, and take comfort in the fact that you’ll be able to afford cheese on your burgers next month thanks to the overage pay. Geeeeez....

Rarely do I make one cent fir holding out 30 mins.

Often I miss a commute home though.

Granted my sample size of one NYC 7ERB isn't the whole system, but usually we are well under scheduled block time, and get paid for scheduled time.
