1 for 1, with details properly populated for the trip is significantly faster than old school. I don't need to ignore a call, log into icrew, look up the trip, etc. It could also run automated, so as soon as I decline the next victim could instantly be contacted. Going one at a time in this time frame would also negate the need to have the 15 minute initial window followed by another 10 minute window, and actually be faster than existing methodology in many instances. Clearly it would still require less scheduling manpower than pre-ARCOS.
If the company wants to speed this up, they can make numerous changes to help themselves and provide win/win. We needn't be the only ones to bear the negatives of reducing response time. And yes, I know we share in some good aspects of ARCOS implementation.
Give me a snooze function to easily and temporarily turn off any or all GS (e.g., I crack a beer and snooze all for 10-12 hours). Give me more granularity in the variables I can put in for GS (e.g. all pbs options) so I don't gum up the system with slips triggering contact that wastes everyone's time. Let slips remain active month to month or next expire if I don't want them to.
Sailing, an honest question... do you ever tire of continually reducing expectations for improved quality of life? Do you not have enough years left to concern yourself with where the degradation trend of QOL plots out several contracts from now? ARCOS has many benefits we can appreciate, but there is significant room for improvement. I challenge you to be on the side of Delta pilots if you'd be willing to put on that hat for a bit. I don't even ask you to take off your black hat... just join us!!!
