What is up with all his Kabbalah bracelets? Paris Hilton and Madonna think that was so last season.

Quote: Yawn. Boeing gave the 747 some of the niceties that the 777 has had for a couple of decades. Still puny engines compared to the GE90s on the 777F. 🤣
I bet the pilots of those “puny engines” UPS 747’s don’t mind their large bank accounts compared to the pilots of some of the 777 operators

Quote: What a stupid comment, and typical unfounded elitism from a pax pilot. No one is more important on any airplane than the people flying it. If the people flying care less about their own life, what makes you think they will care more about the people behind them?
I see a lot of passengers who feel their iPhone is more important than their own lives. Just watch how many are on their phones during safety briefings.

Quote: The dual cues FD on the 400 is extremely accurate, especially on an ILS.
The dual cues are extremely more accurate on every aircraft I have flown that had the option. The DC9 had a switch for selecting Single or Dual, your choice...most used the single cue and we hand flew Cat ll approaches even approved for single engine Cat ll.

So what makes you think cargo ops are the only ones carrying life saving drugs to save your granny?

We (cargo guys) don’t, but how many pax haulers are also a licensed pharmaceutical manufacturer? There is a reason UPS/FEDEX kept hiring after 9/11 when you guys were hitting the unemployment lines. Cargo is a far more diversified industry than the one trick ponies hauling pax. The trick on the cargo side is prying a “fair” share of the profits away from management.

The airplane doesn’t care what is behind the bulkhead...

Quote: Can someone explain to me what's wrong with V-Bars? ...
There’s nothing ‘wrong’ with V-Bars. It’s just a preference. Having flown both I definitely prefer the dual-cue so I’m glad we’re finally switching over. Later this year one of our newest -8s will be delivered with the dual-cue and that’s when they’ll switch the rest of the current 74 fleet over.

This is me using a V-Bar flight director at night and when tired (so pretty much most of the time. )
