9E does. Pretty sure that Envoy does. IIRC, Piedmont wanted to fly me in and out same day, for what that's worth.

When I interviewed in 2014, the hotel was paid for.

But yeah, if that's the deciding factor, I'd suggest the poster apply elsewhere...

It isn't a deciding factor but imo it says a lot about the company if they make their own applicants pay for a hotel, especially in today's hiring market where they can't really afford to be so stringy.

Personally to me it says SkyWest doesn't respect their pilots. Especially since they have no union, hotel rooms in training are double occupancy, they don't pay for luggage, they don't pay for the whole uniform. 2019 is a buyer's market, SkyWest is stuck in 2009 when people didn't have unlimited options. Today, you can apply at 10 airlines and get 9 job offers, they need to realize that.

Maybe SkyWest would make changes if they had trouble recruiting.

Not defending SKW's actions but pilots are applying at 10 airines and getting 9 job offers and picking SKW in the end. That's why SKW can offer no bonuses and double occupancy.

Definitely never plan on going to a major then. None of the ones I interviewed with paid for my hotel.
