Just finished a 3 day where I had 5 FOs. So much for the vow to cease that practice...
Same thing here. I might just fatigue out having to brief so much I don't know.... introducing unnecessary risk to our system. It's only a matter of time before something involving safety is impacted by this nonsense.

I’m just dumbfounded. How do we go from them saying fullkitting is on its way to then keeping split pairings?

What's wrong with split pairings? I don't mind them. Keeps it interesting meeting a new person every couple legs!

First page of an ASAP asks how many legs you’ve flown before the incident. Apparently, somebody somewhere thinks familiarization with the person next to you has some bearing on safety.

That said, it doesn’t bother me. It is just the double talk of saying you’re getting rid of them and then keeping them anyways.

Just finished 6 days of flying and had 13 captains. 😔

Didn’t they say it was on the way in Sep? To insure full knitting you have to balance Captain and FO’s. I think that was part of the increased hiring. I doubt it happens in a month. Probably more a project that takes place over 6 to 12 months.

Yeah that makes sense. But, it seems split pairings are the polar opposite and they can’t even get those removed like they said. That was my point.

But that's NOT what they said. Your (intentionally not You're) excusing again.

There’s a 70ish person imbalance between CAs and FOs in NYC. Until that’s fixed, it makes it tough not to split the pairings.
