Quote: Seems like CA upgrades will drive the requirement for a new bid. Any ideas how many CAs are left to train? And what fleets?
Some have Aug class dates

Quote: Are they splitting classes still? It seems the last several months there has been a single start day. Are they still breaking them out?
August is believed to have some MD slots in it, so we may see split dates again then.

Interesting. Wonder how long they’ll wait to announce that.

On 1 Jan, there were 50 mandatory retirements for all of 2020.

As of 1 July, per the company's monthly seniority lists, the plug at the first of the year has moved up 84 numbers....and there are still 13 more pilots to mandatory retire in the second half of 2020.

I’m about to head back to SDF with a guy on his last flight...60 years old. Hopefully the fire trucks don’t run into us

please tell him thank you for all the crap he had to put up with to build this place and give us a contract that pays us very well. I am very grateful for the men and women who came here when this place was viewed as a second tier flying job. They built a strong union and fought a company with deep pockets to make us what we are today.

109% IPA.

Just because he is 60 and leaving doesn't mean he was here in the good ole days
