Help Please: Uploading resume to FedEx site

Subscribe
Hello all
I have been having some trouble for quite some time uploading and viewing my resume on the careers.fedex.com website. First, in order to permanently upload it, I have to go to “select from previous resumes,” delete all older versions and then click upload when only the version I want to upload is the only one left. This is the only way I can upload my resume, however, once it is uploaded there is a problem. When I click on it to view it (as a recruiter would), what comes up in the link is either one of two things. It’s either a dark gray screen that does not have my resume or it’s my resume but it flashes between gray, white, and my resume (which is not legible). To try to troubleshoot this problem I’ve purchased a new laptop and new software and have also tried to upload using safari and google chrome and nothing fixes the issue. I can’t be the only one this is happening to and consequently I wanted to reach out to you guys and gals to see if anyone knew of this issue and how to fix it. I am so very grateful for any help or information anyone can provide to make it so that my resume is able to be viewed by the FedEx recruiting team. Thanks so so very much and take care!

I had a similar...not the same...issue. It is not you. What format is your resume in? If it’s pdf, try a docx format or maybe even an image file. If it’s not in pdf, try that.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember how I got it solved...I think it finally took one day.

When all else fails, there is probably a contact phone number or email somewhere on the site.

Good luck and I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more concrete help.

Thank you so very much for your reply. It was really nice to hear back from someone so fast. I have tried PDF format as well as the four or five other formats it lists on the website as acceptable with no luck. I currently typed in my resume and that’s the only way I was able to get something to stick. However, the format of my typed one is not perfect as I had to use a guess and check method and go back-and-forth between word and the website, copy that text and paste it into their text box. It has been a test of how bad I really want it, I tell ya what! Thank you for your help and I’m open to anything anyone has for ideas.

I could not get it to work with google chrome either, but I did finally get it to work with firefox. Also, I found that if I don't have the window maximized it wouldn't show the "upload new resume" button. Before I figured those tricks out I was updating it with the dropbox option, which seemed to work. Maybe one of those will work for you. Good luck!
