Every thread on the cargo forum eventually has one or two people pop up to denigrate the contracts that have been signed by ACMI airlines in the last 4-5 years. Inevitably the poster will state something along the lines of, but your, insert pet contract peeve here, sucks and we at XYZ have it better. I get the whole patterned bargaining thing and I know a rising tide lifts all boats but these contracts were agreed to by 80% plus of the effected pilots. Obviously they would've wanted bigger gains but seem to be happy with what the have. A couple of the airlines are already starting to work towards the follow on contracts which will no doubt attempt to address perceived deficiencies.

Why don't those who don't work at these airlines stick to there own problems? It is apparent to anyone reading these boards that you have plenty. Stop fighting battles from 5 years ago and get on with the war at hand. Frankly it makes you look childish and petty. I don't pretend to know what is good for your pilot group, stop pretending that you know what is best for mine.

Sounds just peachy in a perfect world where there is 1 airline and 1 management....gets a bit more complicated when there are multiple carriers owned by the same company... and the actions of one carrier (insert willing to accept a contract that has pay incentives only) directly affect the lives of another.

Whatever the real problem is you can be pretty sure that an endless revolving slap fight on the Internet isn't solving it.

Serious answer: it would appear that certain individuals who have endured hard times and setbacks like to come on the forum to blow of frustration and say things to make themselves feel better. Everyone here knows that less than .01% of readers will actually be influenced in one way or another. The negative posters love to troll and crap all over a group the believe is the culprit to their woes. Possibly deep down inside they know where the problems really exist, but it’s more fun to spread miss information and troll others. Often there is talk of solidarity, but what they really want is the deck stacked in their own personal favor, not the collective best.

So in short, expect that no matter what happens, Let the troll games begin! (Even if that is not the point of the forums)

There is absolutely no way that this thread will become anything but a troll magnet food fight. Save us all and close it now...... The regulars are already showing up with the same tired crap.

People are emotional creatures with long memories. We're not rational. The great thing about civilization and that we can generate some modestly rational results from emotional human beings.

I think of the mud-slinging here sort of like exhaust. There is some good information exchanged. The mechanism that exchanges good information puffs out invective noise as exhaust.

I'm as guilty of this as anyone.

I honestly have not seen anyone do this. I’ve had many ABX guys in the jumpseat and never saw an issue. It’s worth saying that every ABX guy I’ve seen has been polite professional and thankful for the ride. Not been an issue. I know in the past there was some issues but as of right now I haven’t seen or heard anything. This sounds like a bit of a straw man.
