Quote: aren’t there 3 groups of flows? As each group finishes don’t they flow less and less pilots to aa ending in the lesser of 25% of yearly aa hires or some formula? Which group is currently flowing?
3 groups but one is fully gone now so 2 left, and no, it's not less and less. It's 20 a month and likely to go up to 21 later this year, depends on the size of the pilot group (and the 25%, but based on AA's predictions that won't be the limiting factor). No contractual language to slow it down.

Didn't mean to make it sound like it wasn't a good deal, it is pretty good. When I said there's no chance of it increasing, that was a little misleading. Because it is linked to the size of the pilot group, it currently is unlikely it will increase anytime soon because the pilot group would need to increase by about 130 pilots or so. They aren't growing and are only really hiring to cover attrition. If you mean that 6 pilots per month isn't many, you need to look at it in terms of a ratio of flows per month versus the size of the seniority list. PDT is pretty small so the lower number per month evens it out. That said, someone hired today isn't going to flow in a super short amount of time, so look at all your options and I think some people here have expressed some solid opinions on the flow being in your back pocket if you need it, but try to get hired somewhere prior.

Just so I got this right.. if AA hires 1200 pilots a year they’ll take 240 (20 a month) from envoy not 25% which would be 300. And if they hire 500 in a year, they’ll take 25% so 125 from envoy. Looks like they take whichever happens to be less with the last group.

PSA is just straight up 10 per month right now.....

Ouch. New hires would take 10-15 years to flow...

its calculated about 9-9.5 years along with Attrition to outside carriers. I don’t see that flow staying at 10 per month though.

Because why? Contractual or you don’t think anyone could be so cruel?

I have a hunch, just like I had a hunch about our pay raises that fame last year, and just like a hunch when PSA opened a crew base with where I lived right when I got hired. Yule-C.

Since when?

It's the lesser of. So it'll be 20/21 a month. If the music stops, then it'll be all the way down to 0 if AA stops hiring.
Flow assumes AA is hiring. But now that most of our attrition is to other airlines, we have a ton of movement even without the flow.
