It's funny some of the comments I read here. I think you can complain about him driving our industry into the ground. He ordered the travel bans. We don't know now but maybe we'll look back and say it wasn't necessary. If that was the direction his critics went, I'd shrug my shoulders and say, "I'm listening".

Instead, I hear vague things like "mismanagement" or "lack of leadership". Despite what I hear, what I see is that the US is one of the VERY few first world countries ahead of this thing... and you could argue that his travel bans had something to do with it. And that argument actually makes more sense than "mismanagement" or "lack of leadership".

It sounds to me like we're doing a lot of those things. Maybe not all in all places. I live in an area with no reported cases yet the schools are closed indefinitely, public gatherings of 50 or more are prohibited (which would mean no concerts), restaurants and bars have not been forcibly closed here yet but I've seen on the news they have been in other places, and travel... have you seen the loads on airplanes lately?

True my question is a supposition. But what would the picture be, today, had the administration jumped on the band wagon when the pandemic was discovered in China as early as December of last year, or even in mid January? Well the clock can’t be turned back, and yes, we have move on... at a faster pace with greater chance for errors

Poland instituted aggressive non essential services shutdown when USA leadership was saying it will die out...like a miracle. The spread there has been minimal.

Most measures taken in the US have been local, which means they are ad-hoc. I would think it has helped tremendously, but it’s effectiveness is lessened by the lack of coordination and symbiotic cooperation at the federal level.
it is kind of like my wife taking safety precautions for our home, but me still going to work and traveling about the country with lots of interaction with lots of people. All the positive outcomes of her reasonable precautions are put at risk when I come back home. Same applies for when an individual company, or city, or school system, or state does it. It doesn’t help as much as when their neighbor does it as well.

Instead of mocking for weeks, we could have been stocking up on ventilators, working on tests and vaccines, preparing for social distancing, and passing legislation to help workers and small businesses. Instead, we're weeks behind.

We have no idea where we're at. South Korea tests 15,000 people per day. We're only testing people with symptoms; by then, it's far too late, as they've been passing it around for a week. Trump is not on top of this, and it's not only killing people, it's killing the economy, and killing our industry.
