I only get emails when a pilot passes away, is there a way to also get emails company wide? Never thought about it before, but I wonder how many flight attendants pass away each year considering they are a larger group and more elderly.

Hmm, almost 1000 views and no replies. Let me ask another way.
Since pilots think they had the rona in early January, I got to thinking about my trips. I had one fa that looked terrible on the bus to the airport in Rome. She called out sick when she got to the plane and rode in the bunk back to jfk. (I didn’t even know they could do that). I had another trip where the fa was “sick in the lav getting rid of some grumpys”, which was the excuse of the other fa for why she couldn’t serve everyone fast enough and had passenger conflict.
So, Does anyone know any fas they could ask if they noticed their death emails increased since January?

Yes they get emails, yes they're increasing, yes at least 2 confirmed deaths in inflight from covid19.

If a person is 103, smoker with emphysema, obese with 4 previous heart stent procedures and has AIDS.....and they go on a cruise today, contract the Corona virus and die......what would the cause of death be?

old age?
obesity?
Aids?
Covid 19?
Stupidity?
poor life choices?

Years ago when my grandmother passed the COD was "old age". I suspect in my hypothetical, the COD would be Covid 19 but, for me that's not quite the whole picture . This is an assumption, anyone know the exact answer on how the stat is coded?

In the current environment, you could shoot yourself in the head and if you have the virus, then your death would be added to the virus death count.

Well yeah because COVID-19 causes zombies. It’s the only responsible thing to do once infected. Haven’t you ever seen a movie?

I tell you what, throw me in that briar patch! Sounds like s/he lived a full....and interesting life! I’d say living to 103 leaves out your last two COD’s. And you didn’t put dementia in there.

Since “mild asthma”, pre-hypertension, pre-diabetes, obesity, and previous smoking are cited as “comorbidities” that will/might cause death when mixed with Coronavirus, and that includes at least 1/2 of all Americans, how can you NOT blame these deaths primarily on corona?

The argument of “they were fat, so they kinda had it coming” when they died of corona might give you comfort, but it’s so unpersuasive it’s not going to get anyone back in airplanes.

Sort of like “well, he only washed his hands for 19.5 seconds, and I totally saw him wipe his eye, so OF course he deserved the corvid”
