As long as we don't have to fly yellow airplanes, I'm good with it... I have talked with people on the investment side of the business who agree with your assessment though. I hope all the airlines do as well as can be expected through this but it looks like our two airlines are in the best position to react to the massive change our industry will undergo.

I believe there will need to be a 2nd injection of $$$$ at some point from the government, for everyone to survive this long term.

The Jetblue CEO said yesterday that a second bailout package for the airlines is highly unlikely. “Never say never” is what he said, so you never know. I think there would be a lot of pushback if the airlines lobbied for more money on top of the money they already received. Sounds like everyone will be on their own in five months.

Who knows at this point? I can’t see the current or any administration letting 10’s of thousands of furloughs 1 month prior to an election happen. An extension of the current deal till December 1 wouldn’t surprise me. Demand, early retirements, deferred lease payments, and general economic picture is a little unclear at the moment.

The CEO’s who sat in the White House discussing the first bailout with President Trump probably have a pretty good idea of the situation over any pilot or the general public. I hope there’s an extended bailout too if the airlines still need it and there’s no light at the end of the tunnel in terms of recovery.

Well they were told to qualify for assistance no furloughs till September 30. I know that from the language. After September 30 nothing has been negotiated yet. Im not sure what you doubt? As far as weather or not they were told to trim fat that’s kind of common sense. For starters thier were executive compensation and stock buy back limitations. To me that’s part of trimming fat.

I’m not sure what you’re confused about. Our CEO said bailout package #2 for the airlines is not going to happen after September 30th....I really can’t make it any clearer. Now if you want to argue that he’s not telling the truth (he wouldn’t be the first CEO to do that) or doesn’t know what he’s talking about, then maybe you have an argument. Either way, don’t shoot the messenger.
