Quote: First of all, no one in FL cares about the Marlins.
Second of all so what? not a death sentence. they needed a test to tell they had it, otherwise they never would have known. Stop making it out like + for china flu = death sentence.

BTW my wife is up in DC today on Capitol Hill for the "White Coat Summit" a 2 day event. This is a group of frontline physicians (not desk job wanna be's like Faux-chi) there to address the disinformation campaign of the china flu that American way of life has fallen victim to.

To whit "If Americans continue to let so-called experts and media personalities make their decisions, the great American experiment of a Constitutional Republic with Representative Democracy, will cease”

Its a 2 day event and will have coverage.

You can ***** all day about it on the forums, about all you're good for. She is trying to save what is left of the business and our freedoms.
well, you were right about it getting coverage.

Just seems to the be same demographic denying any type of science these days, and leaping on a conspiracy. Believing a Russian dictator instead of the CIA. Complimenting our enemies. Pretending they're invited to Yankee stadium to throw out a pitch. Bizarre world.

I guess the White Coat Summit didn't blow the lid off the reptilian-backed, demon-spawned COVID conspiracy as they had hoped. I would not drink the punch they're offering at the end of the summit, either. Just saying...

CDC reporting suicides and deaths from drug overdoses higher than COVID deaths.

We should probably shut everything down until we figure out what's going on.

(....Checks gender/race/age demographic most affected... who gives a flying fig about THOSE guys?)

Disregard. It's all good. Also, it's the CDC. So we must/must not trust their press releases. (?)

Here's the thing. The rest of the world, you know... Asia, Europe, etc that you guys want passengers to start traveling to? They don't care about your dumb conspiracy theories and bizarre logic. They accepted that COVID is a real issue, dealt with it, and are opening back up.

They will NOT be opening up to Americans. So stop watching whacko fringe YouTube videos, put a mask on, wash your hands, and let's move on from this nonsense so that people start traveling again.

Watching airline pilots argue about this is definitely the stupidest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Couldn't agree more with that last sentence.

Wear the mask in public all the time. Wash hands like my life depends on it (this actually seems to be the most important behavioral change).

There are ancillary costs to broader society to shutdowns, however. Cost vs. benefit. Well beyond my pay grade. It appears, however, that fat people and old people are at great risk. President could do a lot worse than telling everyone ... lose some damn weight, starting with his rotund self.

This country, it's federalized national government that defers to state/local government is what it is, however. Whatever country's government you favor, however, will not be replicated here. Here's to hoping the U.S. of A comes to grips with that and finds a way through (or a vaccine, the ultimate solution) before more needless deaths occur. Of Covid, or of a myriad of secondary effects that no one gives a flying patootie about.

*(BTW, this was a response to a CDC press release, not a bizarre pilot conspiracy. Want to trash the CDC...go ahead. That is a wee bit conspiratorial, however. The data is sh**! and the experts are lying is my motto. )

The rest of the world doesn't care about how much flag waving you do and how great America is. Right now we look like complete idiots, and more importantly we look idiots with an out of control infection.

That's great you wear a mask. But the more people on here lend creditability to crazy conspiracy theories, they're just prolonging this and making anti-mask morons think they actually have audience.

Also, comparing COVID deaths to other means of dying is pointless. Again, nobody cares. This is something that can be controlled, has been controlled (in other countries), and MUST be controlled in the US so that you can have a job.

Quote: I watched the 3 hour video. (Not just Nigerian Immigrant Woman Black Religious Licensced Doctor with some "eccentricities" ). It's persuasive. Maybe not "falsifiable claim" persuasive, but persuasive. Plenty of licensed docs putting their reputations on the line.

(Note to self: never publicly put your professional aviator credentials on the line, because one 'nutter might make you look like a fool. Just privately tell your family not to fly Airline "X", or board "Airplane Y")

Persuasive enough that WHEN I get COVID, I'll probably insist to my doctor for the hydrochloride treatment. If I catch said infection it soon enough via testing. Just me though. You may want to tough it out and hope for the best. If I were <40 and in great shape, I'd probably shrug it off.

I respect that choice. Here's to hoping for the vaccine. As our CEO recently responded to a "what do you need from the government?" said....."a vaccine".
You may insist on a Rx regimen but depending on location your MDs hands may be tied by political agendas.

Also when calling to get tested i was told no symptoms...no test. My thought at that requirement was WTF would I be calling to be tested if I wasnt sick?

Rx protocol was 5 day z-pack AB, plus steroid inhaler. And albuterol inhaler. Now go home and if symptoms become extreme go to ER.

Non Rx was to dose Vitamin C and zinc

It took 6 days to get test result that my symptoms already told me the result would be.

Earliest was fatigue, and a nusiance shortness of breath. Then came intense headaches for a couple of days followed by a cycling fever.....then i got tested..... and in the hours after the test the hammer fell.

It was like being a copd/emphysema patient. Intense feeling of suffocation no matter how hard you try to breathe. Had I not already had the inhalers i would have been a 911 caller.

Even with the inhalers In the ensuing 4-5 nights after the test i had the phone in hand at least 2x debating the 911 call. And being isolated i felt bad enough i wrote a note where my paperwork could be found for whoever found me.

My $0.02? Know and be aware of symptoms. At earliest sign of ANY symptoms get to urgent care for test. And get on meds. Had I waited even 1 day longer i wouldnt have had capacity to do so and would have been in ER.

idk what if any long term consequences are going to result from this. With breathing recovering ive slept most of last 2 days from fatigue. It is understandable to me how this virus can be so deadly for anybody with preexisting respiratory conditions.

But some smart pilots on airlinepilotcentral said it was just a cold......

Also....glad you are seemingly on the other side of this.

THANK YOU.

THANK YOU!!!

I've been waiting for someone on this forum, or an ALPA forum, to relay symptoms, treatment, and recovery. I've been waiting for months to hear an actual Covid afflicted story about this.

Wishing you a full, and speedy recovery.
