Standard. Make something that looks good politically while building a bunch of loopholes into it to allow companies to get around it.

Except, MSM will bill it initially as "TRUMP"S Terrible Tariffs" and beat him up politically, and then when companies skirt the tariffs, the MSM will never report on it or beat him up again for being stupid.

So, I'm not sure your "standard" is quite as standard as you think. Unless of course you mean your "standard" bash Trump any time you can twist an argument to do so. As a "not a Trump supporter" myself, I'm not totally blind to what MSM does....as well as Trump haters....not objective IMHO

What's the point of a tariff with giant loopholes? Sounds like needless red tape and a waste of taxpayer money, all for the appearance of strength.

So yes, the tariffs are dumb.

In this case, it's not just taxpayer money being wasted. Delta is wasting a lot of money by not using the airframes as efficiently as they want to.

Why doesn't anyone point out that the only person tarries affect is the end consumer?

Tariffs on China? Your dishwasher costs more.

Tariffs on airplanes? You plane ticket costs more.
