Also, what is the status of letter 2? The hype on that has kinda died down lately. Any updates ?

If you're not paying for their Ruth's Chris dinners, you don't exist to ALPA.

Have been on the ALPA website ? They do have section for airlines that have shut down and furloughed folks although I can believe many companies are hiring .

They used to assist with resume prep and some interview prep as I recall

I feel it especially for the guys with 121 PRIA skeletons. They’ll hire CFI’s with no skeletons before those poor souls with turbine time. Multiple PRIA event failures? It will be YEARS before a call. Better go find a new career.

If ALPA wants to do any good with this specific pilot group, they call each of those specific men and women to instill a reality check. I’d hate to see some previous 121 pilot potentially a month a way from riding the left seat instructing students for years before receiving another call. Just really sad man.

I was preparing myself for this guy’s pathway and did truck driver training in November. Fortunately we haven’t been furloughed yet, but I’m ready for it.

School is a month and first year is $60k.

I wish that more people had the opportunity to drive a truck. Hopefully they’d realize how much room it takes to turn, how big the blind spots are, and hard it is to stop 85,000 lbs on a wet road and stop jumping right in front of them.
