Penguin Ed's in Fayetteville, AR. Old wooden shack looking place on a hillside. Sit down, bat phone in the wall next to the booth, direct line to the kitchen to order (who needs ipads) and it's out to you in minutes. Highly recommend!

Saw’s soul kitchen in Birmingham

“Bone in, skin on thighs, tossed in our signature rub, slow smoked and flash fried to order. Comes tossed in our red sauce, drizzled with white sauce”

One of my favorites for sure

Smokies BBQ Shack,10800 Chapel Hill Road in Morrisville, NC. Near RDU. Best brisket I've had east of the Mississippi.

Quote: Franklin in AUS is a standard and the best brisket I've ever had...but I always liked Iron Works in downtown.

Jack Stack near MKC.
Ok, I have been to franklins for lunch and ironworks for dinner. Ironworks shouldn’t even be open. Franklins is as you said, the standard.

I did Jack stack about a month later. Terrible. Once you have central Texas BBQ there is no going back.

Harmon BBQ outside of San Antonio is an all time favorite also.
