CA still has a fraction of the positivity rate compared to TX. Everything is open you just still need to wear the mask.
Thats from Nov 2020....

Quote: Seriously. Not only that but it’s just an internets forum. Literally every post is the least important thing to humanity, just look away if it’s too much to bear. I think it happens when the opposing view hits a bit too hard, making them doubt their deeply engrained notion. Better to shut it out.
I disagree with you on most things you post about COVID. I haven't blocked you. If you knew me, you'd laugh at your own statement as I generally like a spirited discussion. Your statement is akin to telling me I need to go to a LGBT parade so I know how they feel. The truth is, I don't give a damn how they feel. I don't need to hear the view over and over to know I disagree with it. Sarcasm alert....Oh 101 times I've heard it? Oh, now I agree with you....No, the truth is it's easier to block a couple people that you really don't care at all what they say.

Just curious. A couple of people saying CA is EVERYTHING open with masks. How come the website showing business restrictions and websites saying they hope to be open by June 15? Am I missing something?

Texas, higher positivity, lower testing rate.

Quote:
Texas: 5.9
New daily cases: 3,429
Tests per 100,000: 201.5

California: 1.1
New daily cases: 2,825
Tests per 100,000: 530.9
For the record...

Positivity rate has never held any value. When the denominator is completely voluntary and can fluctuate wildly, the resulting percentage is meaningless. The only thing that matters is hospital capacity, or at least it did a year ago when we were promised this would be a two week deal.

Yes, this is all about not overwhelming the hospitals, if I remember correctly - are they still overwhelmed?

That’s because you aren’t missing anything because they aren’t really open.
