I'm always amazed how people come to GoJet and quickly come onto this forum to firmly explain that despite it's past short comings, GJ is now a different, a good airline. I guess they have to justify to themselves their decision to come to GoJet.
I have not seem much change in the 14 years since I started at GoJet. HK is pretty consistent. Management changes regularly as the company has to get rid of witnesses in future cases to be filed.
As TaiMaiShu bravely fights the battle for GoJet's survival, he says he has 80 CAs ahead of him and some behind him from the last bid. Management, training, check airman, CAs with the bid who need training, makes the statement of 60 captains available to fly the line look pretty realistic.
When the FAA is worried about an airline closing down, they stick a lot of inspectors on the flights. I was with a major airline that went out 30 years ago and near the end I had 3 different inspectors riding along one day. I'm not sure they do that anymore and haven't heard of any lately.
I'm not sure the 550 are working out as expected. Range is too short. It's a nice ride but on a flight of an hour or less, it doesn't make much of an impression. Make it a 2 hour flight and people will remember the 550.
