This is perhaps the biggest picket event in your career!

BE THERE IN UNITY !!! IT MATTERS!

If you aren’t flying and don’t have any major life events going on, you are really screwing up if you’re not there.

See you in New York City!

sorry to take wind out of your sails - it could have been biggest picket event but NC just changed all that with THEIR recent pay rate proposal. Now we have another session apr10. And then we will have another one after that. No strike vote anytime soon.

Who said it was THEIR proposal? From the update they said they “made it clear the concept is not a substitute for acceptable guaranteed rate increases.”

Sounds to me like they don’t support this proposal.

Talk to your block rep and ask them what the NC said to the MEC. You will be surprised.

Then ask your block rep if they are for or against.

Then tell them what you think.

If you think this made it into a NC email update without full support of the MEC, you need your head examined. This is a test. Speak out, let our voice be heard to your reps. This idea is trash and they need the ammo at the table on 4/10 with the company to squash any further discussions on the topic. EMAIL OR CALL YOUR REPS! I’m tired of this crap. Pay ME!

Quote: I did today and my rep said IT WAS NOT OUR PROPOSAL. It was the mediator’s proposal to attempt to get parties further together. He said NC made it abundantly clear they would NOT accept substandard GUARANTEED pay raises. You may want to call your rep back to verify of some wires are crossed.
Ask your rep if "standard pay rates" was one of our goals. No sh*t we won't accept substandard pay rates. The goal is INDUSTRY LEADING. Not industry leading if the company meets some pulled outta thin air earnings per share metric.

Quote: Our industry “pattern bargains”. The new pattern and standard has been set most recently by Delta and maybe increased shortly by others. My rep was clear he and the NC understood this. “Industry Leading” is setting the new pattern bargaining standards.
Ya, NoWork, I know what pattern bargaining is. You said your rep said we won't accept substandard pay raises. What's their definition of substandard? Are you saying the guaranteed rates will be industry leading or the possible rates if the company meets certain financial performance metrics will be industry leading? Easiest no vote in history if they come up with some pay scheme where rates are only industry leading dependent on company financial performance.
